Wanna see NYC this summer?? Calling all my friends & providers with scoliosis!

Hey again, Reader, please allow me to grace your inbox once more this week...

Normally I wouldn't send two emails in a week - but it came to my attention that registration is closing for the upcoming Columbia University annual scoliosis symposium in June! I've attended the past two years, and this year was honored to be invited to speak on the emotional impacts of scoliosis, both as a person living with severe scoliosis and spinal fusion and as a provider working with others managing the condition. I'm so thrilled to be presenting amongst an amazing group of speakers discussing all aspects of scoliosis care for kids through adults.

The event is from 10 am to 4 pm on Thursday, June 26th, and there's a virtual attendance option - but the real magic happens if you can attend in person and "be in the room". The value I've felt through networking with and discussing life with scoliosis is truly indescribable, and it's resulted in some of my best friendships. Growing up as a kid who felt isolated and alone with this condition, there's healing in finding and embracing my community. 🥰

Anyone can attend - from healthcare providers, to fitness pros, to students, to patients and families managing scoliosis and spinal fusion. You are welcome to come and learn how scoliosis care is changing around the country and how we can better support ourselves and each other with this condition.

Okay, that's it. I hope you'll consider joining us and I'd love the chance to give you a hug in person or at least chat face to face! Rumor has it two of my fellow scoliosis & fusion beauties may be up for arranging a fun outing in the city after the symposium, in case anyone is interested... 🎉 🥳

Thanks for reading and I do hope you join us in a little over a month! If you sign up and are attending in person, please let me know ahead of time and let's plan to meet up!

Always grateful for you!

Hey there, Reader... been a while since I've written ya. Not on purpose by any means, believe me. I really do hope you're doing well. To be honest with you, this year has been difficult for me, in many ways. Between full-time patient care out of two locations, trying to be a present parent for two school-aged kids with all their activities, and managing my chronic conditions I've found myself wholly unable to do so many of the things I aspire to do for you and anyone who trusts me to provide...

Hello again, just a last minute reminder to anyone who was wanting to sign up for the free nervous system regulation masterclass tomorrow. Totally free & open to anyone who'd be interested in joining, no strings attached, no sales pitches at the end... just a way to give you some strategies I've learned to regulate and calm myself that have been successful for me and the people I've worked with over the past 14 years. A calmer, more regulated nervous system is more resilient to the stressors...
