New podcast! ... and I need your opinion plz

Hi again Reader!!

Dunno how the weather is faring for you, autumn has officially hit here in the Northern Hemisphere and personally I am loving the cooler temperatures!

I have been very busy working toward my word of the year (which is Create, in case you're new to this party), so here are some updates for those of you who are interested:

Our podcast launched!! 🎉 My good friend and colleague Dr. Beth Terranova and I have been recording episodes for a podcast we're calling ScoliPod, focusing on evidence-based information for people living with scoliosis and/ or spinal fusion. If you're living with either, or you're a movement or healthcare pro working with people who have it, you should check it out!

The first two episodes are LIVE, I'll drop the links below:

You can also listen from the Buzzsprout website, or download it on your favorite pod catcher (Apple Podcasts or Spotify). We'll drop a new episode every 2 weeks, and you can get alerted to new episodes if you subscribe to the podcast!! If you go to listen, reply back and let me know what you think!

For those of you here for the pelvic floor content, this one's for you - I'm also deep into blogging about the pelvic floor. I've got a series of blogs I'm working on, including:

  • What is the pelvic floor and what it does
  • How is the pelvic floor impacted by scoliosis and spinal fusion
  • How to support your pelvic floor with scoliosis or fusion
  • What typically happens to your pelvic floor as you age and what you can do about it

Even though more people are talking about the pelvic floor muscles, it's still a relatively unknown topic - and unfortunately, there's a ton of misinformation out there. People normalizing pelvic floor issues (in fact, there's a whole industry making billions off of it... looking at you, incontinence pads and underwear 👀), unhelpful advice like doing a hundred kegel exercises a day, I could go on but I imagine you get the idea. I decided I can use my knowledge and platform to drop some truth on the pelvic floor and give you actionable tips on what to do if you're having issues.

I won't be emailing this main list when they're ready, as I try to limit how much I email y'all. That said, I am making a list of people who are interested in getting the links to all the blogs in their email. If you want to read the blogs, just click the button and it'll add your email to the list - no other action required!

(If you've been following me on Instagram and/ or if you've already emailed me separately that you're interested in getting those blogs sent to you - I've already added you to the list!)

And finally, I need your help! I'm going back and forth on my next masterclass. I've had a number of you tell me you're interested in bone density & healthy aging which I mentioned in the spring - but I've also had several of you requesting post-surgical or postpartum recovery & creating your exercise routine.

(I will definitely be doing both in the course of the next few months, but knowing what you want to learn helps me best use my time to create it!)

How you can help:

Vote below!

Note - I'm just interested in your opinion, and voting does not obligate you to sign up for it when it drops! Just want to use my time to prioritize what the majority of y'all are wanting to learn about.

As always, I'm so appreciative for every single one of you who are here, for each time you take a few minutes out of your day to read my emails and for every time you interact with me by responding to an email or helping me create content that interests you.

Sending strong spine & pelvis vibes this November!

Hey there, Reader... been a while since I've written ya. Not on purpose by any means, believe me. I really do hope you're doing well. To be honest with you, this year has been difficult for me, in many ways. Between full-time patient care out of two locations, trying to be a present parent for two school-aged kids with all their activities, and managing my chronic conditions I've found myself wholly unable to do so many of the things I aspire to do for you and anyone who trusts me to provide...

Hello again, just a last minute reminder to anyone who was wanting to sign up for the free nervous system regulation masterclass tomorrow. Totally free & open to anyone who'd be interested in joining, no strings attached, no sales pitches at the end... just a way to give you some strategies I've learned to regulate and calm myself that have been successful for me and the people I've worked with over the past 14 years. A calmer, more regulated nervous system is more resilient to the stressors...
